Fired Phoenix Ceramics is a collection of creations, but mostly jewelry, that I’ve made in my journey to explore ceramics. Some pieces are made using botanicals from my own garden due to a drive to connect more with the natural world around me and share my love of gardening with others. Other pieces are made with inspiration from my teenage emo years, but with a classic twist. Those pieces are made using black porcelain and setting sharp geometrical shapes with silver jump rings. Yet other pieces are made with sea glass I collected in Japan or by playing with the effects of colorful glazes. As I am someone with sensitive ears, all earrings are set with sterling silver or stainless steel. Many of my necklaces are made with sterling silver chain, leather cord, or cotton cord and may have an assortment of different beads from jade stones to bone to reused metal coins.
